We all know that the best is saved until last, so be sure to catch the funniest and most entertaining acts at this year’s Fringe Festival over the next week and a half. There is a huge range of comedic acts on show including but not limited to politically incorrect stand up, comedy for kids, quirky songstress’s, human jukebox’s, witty ‘yo mama’ jokes and the deepest, darkest confessions from our favourite comedians.

If you don’t have enough time to witness all the glorious and varied hilarity on offer at Sydney Fringe, the Fringe Comedy Showcase is the perfect event to gain a glimpse of acquire a taste of the immense talent available. If you can’t decide which brilliant comedian you want to give your laughs to, the showcase is the perfect way to witness the humour of the festival in all its varied wonder.

The Fringe Comedy Showcase is showing at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville from Wednesday 25th – Saturday the 28th September as well as Wednesday 2nd – Saturday 5th October. The perfect event for the time-poor, money-poor or indecisive, this melange of comedy will be sure to get you higher than a helium balloon in the stratosphere and then bursting more from laughter than this balloon does from increased air pressure.

Nothing of course beat full-length shows though if you do have the opportunity to see a few of the high-quality acts on at the 2013 Fringe festival. Emerging from a stellar, award-filled year at the Melbourne Fringe and LA Web festival, the Donna Boys are a refreshingly absurd and clever foursome who’s wit is only surpassed by their jocular chaoticism. The Axis of Awesome’s Benny Davis is another must see event not only because of his light-hearted and hysterical banter, but also on account of his simply incredible musical talent to play any song the audience suggests. Also try not to miss out on Comedians Anonymous – for mature audiences only! – The Comedy Confessional, which may reveal the perfect amount of too much of the lives of comedians, and the return of ABC 3 star Matty Grey’s snigger-inspiring show, ‘Age-less 2: Game On!’ perfect for kids aged 5-12.

There’s nothing like a bit of spontaneous world class comedy to brighten your outlook on life and give yourself a break from the monotonous lifestyle of the daily grind. So whether you’re in Sydney or abroad, try and get yourself to some of the fantastic comedy shows at the Sydney Fringe Festival. The Labour day long weekend is the perfect excuse to get away or indulge in a stay at Sydney hotels whilst relishing in the hilarity of the the country’s top comedians.
